Beaverton’s lesson plan on opioids could soon be a model for schools nationwide

An open-source curriculum developed in Beaverton to educate tweens and teens about the ferocious risks of opioid abuse could soon be a model for schools around the country.
Congress member Suzanne Bonamici, D-Ore., said Friday that she plans to introduce legislation this fall to create a pilot program for schools to develop fentanyl-oriented prevention education programs modeled upon Beaverton’s Fake and Fatal lesson plan.
