Bonamici says she's working to get more funding for electric bus manufacturing

Oregon U.S. Rep. Suzanne Bonamici, D-District 1, says the state is leading the way in the shift toward clean energy. Bonamici, who works on the Select Committee for Climate Crisis, says she's working to get federal funding to boost manufacturing. "I was surprised to learn it takes about two years from the time the order is put in, to the time they get the bus, so the more we can ramp up manufacturing in the United States and have those electric buses made and more rapidly arriving in communities and across the country, the better off we'll be in reducing carbon emissions and transiting to clean energy."
