Rep. Veronica Escobar demands ICE to end force-feeding

Veronica Escobar and Rep. Suzanne Bonamici, along with 14 Members of Congress, sent a letter to ICE acting director Ronald Vitiello demanding ICE to end the practice of force-feeding detainees.</p>

We were equally troubled to learn that several of these individuals are being forced-fed," wrote the lawmakers. "Given that the United Nations recognizes forced-feeding as ‘tantamount to cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment' it is critical that ICE commit to ending this practice."</p>
