Bonamici Honors Service Members on Memorial Day

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici (OR-01) released the following statement to commemorate Memorial Day.

“This holiday is a solemn reminder of the sacrifice of war. Today, we honor the men and women who died protecting our country and upholding our nation’s principles. As we honor them, we also acknowledge the loss of these brave service members to our own country. As a shrinking percentage of Americans serve, it is our responsibility to consider the burden that is placed on their shoulders and on their families. We must continue to honor and remember their service.”
