Bonamici Statement on Shooting at Pittsburgh Synagogue

WASHINGTON, DC [10/27/18] – Today Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici (D-OR) released the following statement after the shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh:

"My heart goes out to everyone affected by today's horrific shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh," said Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici. "This is devastating to the community there, but also to the country. No one should face threats of violence, especially based on their religious beliefs, political preference, or any other personal conviction."

"The recent acts of anti-Semitism, hate, racism, and bigotry that our country has seen cannot be tolerated. The hateful rhetoric we are hearing on a daily basis must end, and Congress must pass and implement policies to reduce gun violence. Enough is enough."
