Bonamici Statement on Supreme Court’s Decision to Invalidate EPA's Air Pollution Rule

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici (OR-01) released the following statement after the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to strike down the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) rule to reduce emissions from power plants.

“Reducing pollutants in our air is critical to the health and safety of people everywhere. This Supreme Court decision is an unfortunate setback to the work being done to reduce harmful emissions from power plants. We must continue to work together to find ways to reduce pollution in our air and water. As Ranking Member on the Science, Space, and Technology’s Environment Subcommittee, I am committed to working on comprehensive solutions to address pollution and the ongoing threat of climate change.”
