Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici Takes Office

U.S. Representative Suzanne Bonamici was sworn in as a Member of the United States House of Representatives by House Speaker John Boehner, February 7, 2012.
The Honorable Suzanne Bonamici was elected in special election January 31, 2012 to serve as representative of Oregon's 1st Congressional District. Representative Bonamici was added to the rolls of the House upon executing the oath of office.
Oregon's 1st Congressional District includes five counties in Northwest Oregon following the Columbia River from downtown Portland to the Pacific Ocean and Oregon's scenic north coast.
