House Passes Funding For 10 Bonamici Community Projects
$25M+ of federal funding will go toward affordable housing, Hall Boulevard improvements, Beaverton Loop, and more
WASHINGTON, D.C. [07/20/22] –Today Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici (OR-01) announced that ten of the Community Projects she selected passed the House, totaling more than $25.6 million for NW Oregon.
This week the House passed H.R. 8294, appropriations funding for Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies; Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies; Energy and Water Development, and Related Agencies; Financial Services and General Government; Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies; and Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies. The legislation will now move to the Senate.
"I'm grateful that the House approved funding I requested for ten community projects that will make our communities stronger, safer, and more equitable," said Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici. "These projects, submitted by Oregonians, will help meet community needs while strengthening our economy. Combating the climate crisis and expanding access to affordable housing are top priorities in my work, and these projects reflect my commitment to putting forward real solutions to address the challenges we face. I will continue working to get the funding for these projects over the finish line in the Senate."
Bonamici advocated for 15 projects in total. The remaining five projects will be considered on the House Floor soon.

Under the rules of the House Appropriations Committee, Members of Congress could each submit up to 15 Community Project Funding requests for consideration during the fiscal year 2023 appropriations legislative process.
