Oregon Delegation Recognizes Acts of Bravery, Sacrifice in Roseburg

Washington, D.C. – Oregon’s congressional delegation today recognized the acts of heroism and sacrifice of the victims and survivors in the senseless murder and wounding of eighteen people at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon one week ago.
The congressional resolution was introduced today in both the Senate and House of Representatives by Sens. Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley, and Reps. Peter DeFazio, Greg Walden, Kurt Schrader, Earl Blumenauer and Suzanne Bonamici.
The resolution comes one week after a gunman opened fire on the Umpqua Community College on Oct. 1, 2015.
