Rep. Bonamici Statement on Passing of Vic Atiyeh

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici (OR-1) released the following statement in response to the passing of former Oregon Governor Vic Atiyeh.

“Governor Atiyeh represented the rare pairing of strong leadership and practical governance that has come to define Oregon politics. His priority of the state over party allowed him to successfully steer Oregon through an extremely difficult economic downturn. His service to the state, even after his time in the governorship, continues to define his legacy. My condolences go out to his family and friends. He will be missed.”
