Housing and Homelessness
Information regarding my stance on Housing issues.

“We absolutely need more affordable housing, and we also need more supportive housing for people who are transitioning” from homelessness, [Bonamici] said. “I am doing what I can at the federal level to be helpful trying to close the gaps and give people the support they need. The issue is the same everywhere in my district.”
Students are getting ready to return to their classrooms and members of Congress are finishing up their in-district work before they head back to the U.S. Capitol.
One of those members, Oregon Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici, announced during a roundtable event earlier this month that she will be introducing legislation once Congress resumes, to educate students about the synthetic opioid drug, fentanyl.
U.S. Rep. Suzanne Bonamici met Thursday with representatives at the former Red Lion Inn & Suites in Seaside and the Elk Creek Terrace Apartments in Cannon Beach to discuss affordable housing models.
The congresswoman, who represents the North Coast, said affordable housing is a priority for her and many of her colleagues.
