Over the past several days I’ve spoken with Governor Brown, Pat Allen at the Oregon Health Authority, county public health officials, school superintendents, health care leaders, and workers across NW Oregon about the coronavirus.

I am deeply concerned about reports that a person in NW Oregon has tested positive for Coronavirus, and my thoughts are with them and their family. I am actively monitoring the presumed case and appreciate the efforts of the public health officials who worked to quickly identify the illness and inform the public.

Too often consumers don’t have the information they need to defend themselves from predatory debt collectors, making them vulnerable to aggressive and financially devastating lawsuits.
