We have an opportunity to make flying easier for consumers and better for our planet.

We write to congratulate you on the Department of Energy’s (DOE) proactive implementation of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) and the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). These laws will retain and create family sustaining union jobs that will give all workers in the United States the opportunity to enter the middle-class, while simultaneously preventing the worst impacts of climate change and lowering energy costs for consumers.

Last Congress we passed robust investments in renewable energy that will jumpstart our clean energy future. And importantly, we also passed some of the largest investments in America’s workers.

Shellfish harvesters and seaweed farmers play an essential role in our food supply, but historically they haven’t received the support they need to reach their full potential.

NOAA’s scientists and researchers are doing critical work to advance our knowledge of the ocean and climate.
