Reps. Suzanne Bonamici, Peter DeFazio and Kurt Schrader, all Democrats, joined Blumenauer in voting for impeachment. "Our country and our Capitol have suffered a devastating attack in the past week, and the President's role in inciting the violence we experienced has left us no choice but to impeach him," Bonamici said, in a statement.
"Donald J. Trump encouraged and incited the violent attack that occurred on Jan. 6, when Congress was gathered to certify the results of the 2020 presidential election," Bonamici said in a statement. "It was an attack on our Capitol and our democracy. Today I voted to impeach him for incitement of insurrection."
Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici said that due to the president's role in the the Capitol breach on January 6, she felt she had no choice but to vote to impeach. Her statement read, in part: We are now forced to reckon with the grave reality that the President of the United States directly incited an attack on our government and country, and he must be held accountable.

He is wholly unfit for office and must never be able to serve in government again. I commend my colleagues, Representatives Cicilline, Lieu, and Raskin, for drafting this resolution of impeachment.

Suzanne Bonamici, a Democrat representing Oregon's First Congressional District, voted in favor.
Oregon has four Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives: Reps. Suzanne Bonamici, Earl Blumenauer, Peter DeFazio and Kurt Schrader. All four voted to impeach.
Oregon's U.S. senators, Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley, have both called for Trump's removal from office, as have U.S. Reps. Earl Blumenauer, Suzanne Bonamici and Peter DeFazio, all Democrats. U.S. Rep. Kurt Schrader, also a Democrat, announced on Jan. 9 that he would support impeachment. A day earlier, he publicly apologized for comparing impeachment to a lynching during a Congressional call.
The amendment is not the only way to end Trump's time in office before his term expires. Rep. Suzanne Bonamici, a Democrat from Oregon's First District, tweeted Thursday afternoon that she's in favor of another route for removal: "I support impeaching Donald Trump. Again."
