At the meeting, Bonamici fielded questions from residents concerned about various policies of President Donald Trump’s administration and said that she and fellow democrats would fight those policies and work to turn the electoral tide in the 2026 midterm elections.
Rep. Suzanne Bonamici agreed.
“The American people deserve to have their representatives play their proper role in our constitutional government, especially involving a decision of such enormous gravity,” Bonamici said.
One year ago today Hamas waged a brutal attack on Israel. Terrorists killed more than 1,200 innocent people and took 240 hostages, nearly 100 of whom remain in Gaza.
The ensuing war has claimed the lives of tens of thousands of Palestinians and left Gaza in shambles. At the same time, thousands of Israelis have been displaced and the country continues to live with the threat of terrorist attacks by Hamas and Hezbollah.
I rise today in support of the Fiscal Year 2023 omnibus appropriations bill.
