Rep. Suzanne Bonamici, D-Ore., criticized Republicans for their focus on antisemitism in liberal school districts while ignoring statements by Donald Trump.
“Despite these persistent examples of comments that others have called antisemitic and continued relationships with well-known antisemites, I have not heard one word of concern for my colleagues across the aisle. In fact, what we have seen is consolidation of support for the former president,” said Rep. Suzanne Bonamici (D-Ore.), ranking member of the subcommittee.

Suzanne Bonamici (D-Ore.) She also pointed to Trump’s dining with a far-right activist who has promoted antisemitism.
United States Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici was in Tillamook for stops at Adventist Health Tillamook and the county courthouse on April 24.
Bonamici tried to appeal to Republicans by offering a fiscal argument.
“It supports the local economy,” she said, highlighting local theaters in her home state, Oregon, that spread business to shops and restaurants in town. “It really is an economic issue, as well as an issue of what it means to our community to be able to sit together and to laugh and to cry and to ask questions and to be together.”
