Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici (OR-01) took a lead role in helping to pass the bipartisan reauthorization of the Older Americans Act (OAA) in the House of Representatives.

Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici (OR-01) made the following statement after the House of Representatives passed a resolution taking the disappointing step of authorizing the House majority to prepare an amicus brief—a legal argument submitted to the Supreme Court—in a case challenging President Obama’s executive actions on immigration.

The competition is open to all students in grades 9-12 who reside in or attend high school in Oregon’s First Congressional District, which includes Washington, Yamhill, Clatsop, and Columbia Counties as well as part of Multnomah County. A panel of local artists will select the winner, and his or her artwork will be publicly displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol Building.
