Mr. Speaker, I rise in support of H.R. 2146, the Trade Priorities and Accountability Act of 2015. For the past several years I have had many conversations about trade with the people of Northwest Oregon. I’ve spoken with farmers, environmentalists, semiconductor manufacturers, wine makers, workers, sports and outdoor apparel employees, and others.
“The horrific attack on the Emanuel AME Church in South Carolina leaves me devastated and heartbroken. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone in Charleston and across the country who are grieving from the loss of their family and friends. Based on what we know about the attack, it appears that it was not merely a hate crime, but an act of terror fueled by racism.
